World Champion Peter Sagan took the win in today’s second stage of the Tour de France from Saint-Lô to Cherbourg-en-Cotentin.

It was the fifth stage win of his career and the bonus seconds win enabled Sagan to take over the yellow jersey from Mark Cavendish.

The peloton caught breakaway rider Jasper Stuyven 500 metres before the line at the uphill finish at Cherbourg-en-Cotentin with French sensation Julian Alaphilippe taking second place to move into the lead of the best young rider competition.

However, it wasn’t all good news for Tinkoff as there was another crash for Alberto Contador who lost time to the other race favourites on the final climb.

Here are highlights from the stage captured on GoPro cameras.
