The Midsummer Liffey Cycle which is supporting a safe segregated Liffey cycle route is set to take place tomorrow – June 18 – starting in the Phoenix Park. The event is part of Bike Week and is being organised by Dublin Cycling Campaign.

The group will be setting off from just west of the Phoenix Monument along the main Chesterfield Avenue in the Park.

“On the final day of Bikeweek 2017 we will be cycling with hundreds of people from the centre of the Phoenix Park, down along the Liffey, to remind people that we want a safe and fully segregated Liffey Cycle Route for Dublin City.” the statement on the website of Dublin Cycling Campaign reads.

“We will finish up on Guild Street linear park with a short Picnic, and a few words. Lets keep our fingers crossed for the weather! And, as this is the final day of Bikeweek why not Dress Up with a bit of colour for the occasion and join us for this safe marshalled cycle.”

After the cycle, many of the cyclists will be returning to the Phoenix Park along the North Circular Road to join in the fun at the 5th Annual Cargo Bike – http://www.bikeweek.ie/events/dublin/5th-annual-cargo-bike-championships.
