Following on from the news that both Sean Downey and Philip Lavery were set to join Mark Downey at the new British Continental team Dynamo Cover Pro Cycling, it has now been announced that Mark Dowling is latest Irish rider to join the team.

The news was announced this morning and follows on from Dowling’s very impressive third place in the Taiwan KOM Challenge two weeks ago.

The 29 year-old previously raced at Continental level when he rode for the Asian team Polygon Sweet Nice back in 2013, before returning to Ireland.

The Dynamo Cover Pro Cycling directeur sportif Yann Dejan told Be Celt: “Mark Dowling is a real pure climber. He is already well experienced and will know how to take advantage of this knowledge. Moreover, he already knows several races in our calendar well. And he also raced in Brittany a few years ago.”

Dowling raced in Kreiz Breizh Elites (UCI 2.2) in Brittany earlier this year, where he finished in 5th place in the Mountains Classification.

The new team will be based in Brittany and their race programme for 2016 will be mainly focused on the European and UK circuit with races in Asia and North America. The team line-up is as follows.

Stuart BALFOUR,
