The use of onboard cameras have provided some great footage from races in recent times, but former World Champion, Mark Cavendish, has ruled out using one on his bike during races.

The Manxman won his first race of the season, when he took the honours on the final stage of the Tour de San Luis on Sunday.

He said about the use of the cameras, “It’s nice to see, but I prefer that they’re on another bike than mine during a sprint. The thing weighs 180 grams. Let the techies make it aerodynamic first.”

It’s a pity as footage from Cavendish could have made for some very interesting viewing.
