Good news for Marianne Vos as her Rabobank-Liv team have announced that the multiple World Champion is set to return to action in the coming days.

After ten months of absence, Vos will return to the peloton this Sunday (March 13) when she lines up at the start of the Drenthe Acht van Westerveld.

“I look forward to it and I am glad that I am meeting up with the team again,” says Vos. “I’m not going to Drenthe to win. My big aim is that I can gain race practice. That is, at this stage, the most important thing. I’m still not at the level where I need and want to be.”

Drenthe Acht van Westerveld is the only race that has been added to Vos’ calendar so far. After the race, she will assess how it went before looking at further races.

“I will need to get used to it after ten months of absence. The return to the team is an important next step in the comeback.”
