A company from New Zealand is in the final stages of developing a revolutionary Hydrofoil Bike, known as the Hydrofoiler XE-1, that allows riders to plane across the surface of the water.
Manta5 have developed the prototype bike known as the ‘Proto6’ and are looking to begin pre-sales of their production model over the 2017/2018 New Zealand summer.
The Hydrofoiler XE-1 features cutting-edge developments in electric motor and hydrofoil technology. The bike utilises Lithium battery technology and features a 400W E-Bike Motor.
The IP67 rated battery has been designed to withstand the marine environment and the designers have maintained a user-friendly approach for removable recharging on any standard power outlet.
The 400W E-Bike motor has been waterproofed to an IP67 rating and has undergone rigorous destructive testing to test reliability.
The Hydrofoiler XE-1 is also easily assembled with two identical screws for quick assembly and transport.
