Astana rider Michele Scarponi has posted another video of a macaw named Frankie joining him on a training ride after posting a similar video earlier this month.
The macaw lives in Scarponi’s home town of Filottrano in Italy’s Marche region. In the video, the bird lands on the 2011 Giro d’Italia winner’s back before climbing onto his helmet. The macaw then proceeds to peck at Scarponi’s head.
It was good to see that not all birds are as aggressive as this magpie which attacked an Australian cyclist last year.
