There has been a considerable amount of discussion recently about rebalancing the Irish road racing calendar and scheduling more events in the later part of the season. In consultation and with approval from Cycling Ireland and Cycling Leinster Lucan Cycling Road Club have decided to schedule one of the early-season events – The Lucan Grand Prix.

The race will now move from the previously advertised date of March 18th to September 16th. The Cycling Ireland online calendar has been updated to reflect the change of date. At this stage, all other event details including location and start time remain the same.

There are no other road race events in the country that day so the club are hopeful that the event will be as well supported as in previous editions and that they can run a full programme of races for all categories.

The club have stated that further details will be issued nearer the event date.
