American rider Larry Warbasse took his first ever professional victory yesterday on stage 4 of the Tour de Suisse. Not only was it Warbasse’s first win, it was also the first win for the Aqua Blue Sport team.

The rider from Michigan led from the off on the stage from Bern to Villars-sur-Ollon. Going into the final climb of the 143.2km stage, Warbasse left his breakaway companions behind to ride solo to the line, setting a tempo that despite the best efforts of the peloton, none could match.

The video below includes footage from the team which goes behind the scenes and shows exactly what it meant to the Michigan man, and to the Irish Pro Continental team in their first season.
