Following last week’s Tour de Normandie, An Post Chain Reaction will take to the Belgian roads this Friday 31st March for the 22nd edition of Le Triptyque des Monts et Chateaux (2.2). A seven-man strong team will line up for the Flemish test, led by in form Matthew Teggart and Prezemyslaw Kasperkiewicz.

An Post Chain Reaction team will go to Belgium full of confidence, after an encouraging week in Normandie. Matthew Teggart was an impressive ninth on the fifth stage of the French stage race which was an extremely promising result for Team Manager, Kurt Bogaerts: “For a young guy at that level, it really was a boost for his motivation to finish in such a high position. Considering he had a bad injury at the beginning of the year, it is amazing that he has been able to come back so quickly. This is the confidence boost the team needs. One good result leads to the next and that’s what we are hoping for going forward.”

Making up the team in Belgium will be Jonas Bokeloh (GER), Sean MacKinnon (CAN), Prezemyslaw Kasperkiewicz (POL), Jacob Scott (GBR), Massimo Vanderaerden (BEL) and Dan Gardner (GBR).

Speaking about their chances for the Flemish race, Bogaerts believes the team can achieve success: “I really hope to have our first win of the season. Kasper and Matthew are at a good level which puts us in a strong position.”
