NFTO have announced the signing of British rider Josh Edmondson who will depart the An Post – Chain Reaction team after just one season. The 23 year-old had signed for the Irish team after having raced for Team Sky for the previous two seasons.

He enjoyed a successful season with An Post. Edmondson claimed the overall win and a stage of the Tour de l’Oise (UCI 2.2). He was also 2nd overall in An Post Rás (UCI 2.2) and won a stage and finished 6th overall in the Tour of Azerbaijan (UCI 2.1).

The signing of Edmondson will help fill the void for the ambitious British team being left by the departure of Eddie Dunbar who joins Axeon and Steele Von Hoff who moves to One Pro Cycling. Earlier this year, NFTO stated that they were hoping to move up to UCI Pro-Continental level.

Leeds-born Edmondson is the latest rider to depart An Post, following on from the news that Sean Downey, Eoin McCarthy, Ryan Mullen, Xandro Meurisse, Conor Dunne, Alistair Slater and Alexander Maes are moving on to pastures new.
