Dutch rider Jasper Bovenhuis is said to be in talks with the An Post-Chain Reaction team about a move there for the 2016 season, according to Wielerflits. The 24 year-old raced for SEG Racing this season, and rode as a stagiaire for Cannondale-Garmin in the latter half of the year.

Despite some good performances for the World Tour team in the USA Pro Challenge and the Tour of Alberta, Cannondale-Garmin offered a contract to another stagiaire instead, the Latvian rider Toms Skujins.

Amongst Bovenhuis’ best results this season were a win in the Arno Wallaard Memorial (UCI 1.2), and top ten placings in stages of the Tour de Normandie (UCI 2.2) and the Circuit des Ardennes (UCI 2.2).

More news is expected soon about other possible signings for the Irish team, as they seek to replace the riders who are leaving. Josh Edmondson, Xandro Meurisse, Ryan Mullen, Sean Downey, Alistair Slater, Conor Dunne and Eoin McCarthy are all moving on to pastures new.
