Irish comedian David O’Doherty posted a photo on Twitter earlier today of his bike which had been stolen in Dublin and he has since provided an update saying that it has been found.

O’Doherty who has won numerous comedy awards including the if.comedy award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Best International Comedian at the Sydney Comedy Festival posted photos of the bike with the message: “My beloved bike was stolen in Dublin last night. It’s a matte green Revolution Cross Sport with Sora parts. I love it. Large reward x”

However, less than two hours after posting his call for help, O’Doherty provided an update where he said that the staff of The Exchequer bar and restaurant in Dublin 2 had found his bike.

According to a survey conducted by Dublin Cycling Campaign in December 2014, only 4% of people who had a bike stolen in Dublin recovered the bike so it seems that O’Doherty is one of the lucky ones.
