Irish riders Conor Dunne, Jack Wilson and Ryan Mullen have all been named as part of a strong An Post contingent that will be in action tomorrow in Belgium at GP Stad Zottegem (UCI 1.1), located in the East Flanders region.

The Irish based outfit look to be in a strong position heading in tomorrow’s 189 kilometre race, having no fresh injury concerns. Lithuanian sprinter, Aidis Kruopis, in particular, will look to build on his fine form of late after he claimed victory recently in the Belgian one-day race, Antwerpse Havenpijl (UCI 1.2).

Manager Kurt Bogaerts was in a confident mood ahead of tomorrow’s race and believes the team are now entering a key period in the season.

“Morale is sky high at the moment and the team are really enjoying their cycling, which is really important. If you look at our results from this year so far, they have been excellent. The team has come on leaps and bounds both physically and mentally in their performances. It’s key now that we keep the momentum going and I think this is another race that will provide us with another opportunity to get on the podium.”

The An Post Chain Reaction team will next compete at the one-day race Arnhem-Veenendaal Classic (1.1) in the Netherlands, on Friday 21st of August.
