Contractors are working hard to try and get the course for the Belgian cyclo cross championships in some sort of decent shape for the races this weekend.
Belgium has seen some torrential rain leaving the course with some really deep puddles and much of the course unrideable.
Niels Albert visited the course in Erpe-Mere and said, “I have never seen anything like this. It’s so wet. I’ve never seen a bulldozer being needed to scoop up mud. It will be very very difficult and I fear that the coming days will just make it worse.”
