Half The Road, the superb but enraging documentary about inequities in professional cycling, is being screened in Manchester as part of International Women’s Day celebrations.
A 2013 survey undertaken by the Women’s Cycling Association showed that 50% of female pro cyclists earn $3,000 (£1969) or less per year. This statistic is from Half The Road, the documentary by Kathryn Bertine.
The film which features amongst others, Marianne Vos and Emma Pooley, is a call for the UCI to address the situation.
