Gavin Mannion has signed for the Jelly Belly-Maxxis team after it was revealed that his current team 5-hour Energy would not be continuing.

The Massachusetts born rider rode as a stagiare with the Garmin-Sharp team towards the end of the 2014 season, and competed in the the Tour of Utah, USA Pro Challenge and Tour of Alberta for the World Tour team.

Mannion’s father Tommy, was Junior Champion of Ireland and finished 3rd in the Tour of Ireland in 1980, prior to emigrating to the United States.

The Jelly Belly team are a UCI Continental team and have a predominantly North American based race schedule, and in 2014 received invites to the top US races including the Tours of California and Utah. Another of their signings for next year is the Australian Lachlan Morton who joins from Garmin-Sharp.
