There was a massive bunch crash at the Vuelta a Guatemala (2.2) earlier this week when a dog wandered onto the road ahead of the approaching peloton.
The incident happened on the final stage of the race around Guatemala City. The first riders managed to avoid the dog, but riders further back were not so lucky and came tumbling down.
Fortunately no riders were seriously injured in the crash with all able to continue. The 105-kilometre stage was won by Jeison Elias Vega of Costa Rica with fellow countryman Roman Villalobos winning the race overall.
