Following on from his crash in Wednesday’s Fleche Wallonne, Dan Martin’s Cannondale-Garmin team have released a statement regarding his injuries and his chances of starting Sunday’s Liege-Bastogne-Liege. The statement is below:
“We’ve had a lot of you asking after Dan Martin following his crash yesterday at Flèche Wallonne. Here’s what we can share now:
Medical staff continues to closely monitor Dan Martin following his crash. Today his known injuries include contusions, abrasions and soreness in his neck. His health is our top priority and we will see how he progresses but remain hopeful that he will be able to start Liège-Bastogne-Liège.”
