In case you missed it earlier, here’s footage of the last 13 kilometres of today’s stage of the Tour of Catalonia.
Dan Martin had his best result of the season so far on the stage which started and finished in Girona. He made it across to the lead group containing most of the big names in the race including Alberto Contador Tinkoff-Saxo), Fabio Aru (Astana Pro Team) and Richie Porte (Team Sky).
Domenico Pozzovivo (AG2R La Mondiale) made a late attack to win the stage, while Martin was narrowly beaten for second by Rigoberto Uran (Etixx-Quick-Step).
The result moves the Irishman up to 6th overall, 2’22” behind race leader Pierre Rolland (Team Europcar).
