A cyclist on his way to watch Stage 2 of the Tour Down Under from Stirling to Paracombe had a narrow escape earlier this week when he just managed to avoid being hit by a falling tree.
Footage of the near-miss was uploaded to YouTube by Mark Briais yesterday and the video filmed using a rear-facing camera shows two cyclists descending through a wooded area in South Australia.
The second cyclist in line just about manages to escape being hit by the tree but the person behind is not so fortunate as the cyclist can be seen braking to avoid a collision before falling to the ground.
