Now back for its 7th annual instalment, the 2015 Tour de Picnic charity cycle is promising to be bigger and better than ever. The destination for the charity cycle is the Electric Picnic music festival in Stradbally, Co. Laois. Last year Tour De Picnic broke the €1.2 million mark in funds raised for children’s charities to date.

Cono Sur are once again on board to support the event with a donation to help directly offset the event costs, ensuring as much money as possible goes directly to this year’s worthy charities: The ISPCC (Childline), Special Olympics Ireland and The Irish Youth Foundation.

Cono Sur will also cover the entry costs of the top 10 fundraisers of this year’s event, inducting them into “Team Cono Sur” who will pedal down on the day in Cono Sur jerseys as well as being awarded a case of Cono Sur’s cycling-themed Bicicleta wine for their efforts.

Cono Sur was the first fully carbon neutral winery in the world, a pioneering feat achieved with the help of their workers cycling around the vineyard to keep their environmental impact to a minimum, and so Cono Sur’s popular Bicicleta range of wines was named in their honour.
