Bradley Wiggins was on The Graham Norton Show on New Year’s Eve, and we’re really not sure what he was thinking when he responded to one of the host’s questions.
Norton asked the Tour de France winner and Olympic gold medallist why his wife Cathy carries his bags when travelling.
“Well my wife’s a bit of a panel beater. She’s a strong girl,” Wiggins replied. “She sort of clean and jerks 200 kilos, she’s a good girl.”
It looked like he may have enjoyed a drink or two in the green room beforehand. Cathy Wiggins appeared rather embarrassed by her husband’s comments, and he may have had some explaining to do when he got home.
