The search for a bone marrow match for Paul Giblin continues in Dublin tomorrow.

The top rower twice took gold at the Henley Royal Regatta and has 17 Irish senior championship titles. After rowing, he took up cycling. He competed in the 2010 An Post Rás in 2010 and has also ridden as a pilot for the Irish paracycling team.

Paul was diagnosed with refractory Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2012, aged 28. and is currently undergoing his fourth round of chemotherapy

The Blood Donor Clinic on D’Olier Street will be open from 10am to 3pm on Sunday 21st, and it just takes a few minutes to provide a small blood sample. The sample of blood is added to the Irish Blood Transfusion Service’s database to cross check for matches to not just Paul but others also requiring a match.
