This short video tells the story of two blind cyclists. The first one is Daniel Kish who is also known as the real batman. Daniel is head of the World Access for the Blind and he trains the visually impaired to achieve greater freedom through echolocation. This technique simulates a bat’s night vision, perceiving the environment through sound. Daniel uses a clicking noise while cycling to detect objects in his path, a truly remarkable skill.

The second rider is young Corbin Thornberry. He uses a similar technique to ride his bike on his own despite the fact he is blind. His father rides in front of him and has a small muffler on the bike which emits a noise while he cycles. Corbin is able to follow his Dad using the sound alone and uses the volume to determine if he needs to speed up or slow down.

World Access for the Blind is a Non-Profit organization that facilitates the self-directed achievement of people with all forms of blindness, and increases public awareness about the strengths and capabilities of blind people .For more information on World Access for the Blind check out their website.
