A black bear was spotted recently sitting in a tree directly above triathletes taking part in the bike leg of a triathlon in Canada.
The video was uploaded to YouTube by Andy Weststeyn who said: “Black bear eating berries in a tree while a bike race was happening below. Bikers were oblivious to the bear above.”
However, the cyclists in the MEC Triathlon Sprint in Coquitlam, British Columbia which took place on September 10th didn’t seem to notice the bear above them.
The bear came down from the tree later, crossing the road and pausing the race for a time.

I am amzed the branch didn’t break and the bear and branch didn’t land on the cyclists!
