Betsy Andreu has responded to Lance Armstrong’s claim that her husband, Frankie, doped for the majority of his career.

The transcript from Armstrong’s testimony was part of a pretrial deposition in a US Federal Government whistleblower case brought forward by another former teammate, Floyd Landis. The testimony was made public on Monday.

The Armstrong transcript reads:

“Well, I have apologized to Frankie. Frankie was the first person that I apologized to. But what I said on Twitter was true. We know that to be true. I didn’t – – I didn’t – – at this point in time, there’s no more lies here. That what I said on there, if I — if I said that Frankie doped for the majority of his career, that — that is absolutely the truth.”

Betsy Andreu has since responded to Armstrong’s claims saying:

“Armstrong’s obsession with us continues: he will Stop at Nothing to perpetuate The Armstrong Lie. When this is said and done, the government should go after him for perjury. Absolutely nothing supports his latest lie. The fact is when Frankie was 29 he first took epo.”

“He was later sacked by lance and johan for not getting on their doping program having been chided for riding clean in 2000. That’s 3 years out of a 12 year career. Frankie didn’t lie under oath either in the SCA case or to the Feds.”

“Frankie came forward on his own volition back in 2006 and as a result armstrong has not stopped going after him or me. Armstrong is a despicable human being with zero moral fiber whose track record shows he cannot be trusted. What a pitiful man he is.”
