The Irish UCI Continental team An Post – Chain Reaction have been taking part in a training camp in Calpe, Spain over the past number of days in preparation for the upcoming season and have produced the video below which shows some of what has been happening at the camp.
Directeur Sportif Kurt Bogaerts explains that their previous training camp in Calpe in December was about putting the base miles in whereas the current camp is focused on more intensive training which will help get the riders up to race speed. Also interviewed in the video are a number of riders including former Irish champion Damien Shaw, Bas Tietema and Mark Stewart in addition to Sean Kelly.
The team’s first race of the 2017 season will take place on the 29th of January in the 2017 Grand Prix Cycliste la Marseillaise (1.1) before they line up at Etoile de Besseges.
