Aqua Blue Sport has announced teams for two upcoming races – Trofeo Laigueglia which takes place this weekend and next week’s Tour of Oman.

In-form Kiwi rider and Olympic medallist Aaron Gate will also take to the start line, just days after his combative ride in Australia that saw him take home a podium place and a combativity prize.

The full team for Trofeo Laigueglia is: Lars Petter Nordhaug, Conor Dunne, Calvin Watson, Michel Kreder, Peter Koning and Aaron Gate

Then Aqua Blue Sport will return to the Middle East and the desert sunshine for the Tour of Oman from 14th to the 19th of February.

The team’s fast man and British champion Adam Blythe, who showed promise at the recent Dubai Tour, will aim for the flat stages while US rider Larry Warbasse will focus on the hiller stages.

The full team for the Tour of Oman is: Adam Blythe, Andrew Fenn, Daniel Pearson, Larry Warbasse, Matt Brammeier, Lasse Norman Hansen, Stefan Denifl and Mark Christian.

It has been a very promising start to the season for the new Irish Pro Continental team with podiums at races in Australia and multiple top ten placings against the world’s top sprint kings in Dubai.

Nicki Sørensen – Head of Performance, Sport and Operations believes the team’s efforts in Australia and Dubai show what is possible for the season ahead.

He said: “Aqua Blue Sport have had a successful start to the season and we are very happy with how the riders are working together. Now we are going to build on our performances in Australia and in Dubai in the upcoming races. We have selected specific teams to fit the races and we are very hopeful that we can get a result for our fans.”

Aqua Blue Sport will also race this month at French events at Classic Sud Ardèche – Souvenir Francis Delpech, and Royal Bernard Drome Classic on 25th and 26th February. The team will also take part in the first Flemish classic of the season at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad.
