According to RAI, the Italian rider Francesco Reda (Team Idea 2010 ASD), who earlier this season won a stage of An Post Rás, has tested positive for EPO at the Italian National Championships.

Reda was subsequently kicked out of the Rás for taking a tow from a race vehicle. Afterwards, he tweeted a message saying “the stench of s**t Irish sheep from the head to the UCI jury the tour Ireland and the organizations.”

This is not the first time that the former Quick Step rider has been in trouble. Earlier in the year, Reda came back from a two-year ban after evading a doping test while racing for Team Androni Giocattoli-Venezuela. His ban was reduced after he gave evidence to the Cycling Independent Reform Commission.
