An Post Rás na mBan and committee member Fiona Cooke have been nominated for Cycling Ireland’s Member Awards.

The race has been shortlisted in the Best Competitive Event category which it won in 2015 while Fiona Cooke, one of Rás na mBan’s key volunteers and an energetic supporter of Kilkenny cycling at a local level as a member of Marble City Cyclers, has been shortlisted for the highly prestigious Volunteer of the Year Award.

Fiona has been an integral member of the Rás na mBan organising committee for several years and played a key role in bringing the race to Kilkenny in 2016.

She is also very involved in cycling at a local level in Kilkenny and has for many years been the live update reporter on An Post Rás and Rás Mumhan stage races.

The member awards are voted for by the members of Cycling Ireland and will be announced at the annual awards ceremony in Crown Plaza Hotel Dublin on November 26th.

Cycling Ireland Ireland licence holders can vote on a total of seven categories by accessing the link on the Cycling Ireland website.

Closing date is 5pm on Friday 11th November.
