The Buenos Aires clinic where Movistar rider Adriano Malori is convalescing have provided an update on the rider’s condition which they have said continues to improve.

The Italian rider was involved in a high-speed crash at the Tour de San Luis in Argentina last month. Malori had been placed in an induced coma following the crash which happened when he crashed due to a crack in the road.

The 27 year-old suffered multiple fractures due to his fall and he was taken to hospital in San Luis with hospital staff later confirming that he had a “traumatic brain injury”.

Movistar have also said that they are now currently studying the most suitable means of transferring Adriano to Pamplona (Spain) in the coming days, for examination by specialist staff at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra.
